We spent Thursday on the hunt for all things green and garden-y.  We found the most amazing row of shops in Chelsea.  Not boutique garden shops, but throw it all in there and dig for what you need kind of shops.  We were told these are where all the designers get their things for photo shoots and the selection is endlessly inspiring.  We are dreaming up so many exciting new twists for our own little garden shop, we cannot even wait!  We walked all over, shopped and, of course, stopped for a delicious lunch at Le Pain Quotidien.  Another great day!  I cannot believe we are leaving so soon!  Is it too early to plan another trip back?  Who's with me?

We couldn't help but wonder if there will be a beautiful rooftop garden up there come spring.

first friday flea market tomorrow!

Can you believe it is already February?  And with that comes our always popular, always fun First Friday Flea Market.  This month's is proving to be a good one with 11 amazing vendors coming and a Willows design giveaway!  We have Jewel Ya, Dos Fannies, Mojica Designs, Jackie B. and the Femme Collection all selling gorgeous jewelry (just in time for Valentine's Day!).  We also have Zen Metalworks, Sweet Bamboo Massage Co., B. Another very busy day at mart yesterday!  There are beautiful signs of spring popping up around every corner (indoors, of course)!  We are getting more and more excited for our upcoming garden shop!  We hope you are, too!  We ended the busy day with dinner at the Gramercy Park Hotel.  Amazing Italian pasta - so yummy!  Laughs, stories, wine and good food...  what a great way to spend the evening!  The hotel itself was absolutely stunning!  It was decorated by Philip Starks and we could have just walked around inside it forever.  We are off on the hunt for more amazing garden treasures today!  Wish us well!

Oh, my.  Sometimes I forget how much I love this city.  We were busy, busy yesterday at mart buying so many treasures for the store.  The mart has such great energy, it just keeps you going all day.  The apparel showrooms are my absolute favorite.  They make you feel so energized about their products.  All tried and true with a city twist!  The B.D. Baggies showroom, in particular, is just gorgeous.  I am so excited about all our new purchases!  I swear there is just something about this city that turns on your inner creativity (and, of course, the wine and spirits help, too...).  Every time I am here I feel like it shakes something inside of me into remembering how much I love my job.  It challenges me to connect with my customers, to take them forward.  I cannot wait to share everything we have found back at the store.  Oh, did I mention I love New York?
